Sushi day



Had cravings for sushi and decided to home make some.

The ingredients were super fresh and it really made a difference.

From top down, Japanese Cucumber, Crab leg, Unagi Tamago & California Roll

California Roll

Ingredients

2 cups sushi rice
1/4 cup sushi vinegar (Can be purchase in Cold Storage/Carrefour or Giant)
1 japanese cucumber
1 avocado
1/4 cup crab meat
1 pack of fish roe
Japanese mayonnaise
1/2 tsp salt

Directions

1 Cook sushi rice in rice cooker, mix sushi rice vinegar and set aside to cool.

2 Cut avocado and cucumber into strips.

3 Cover a bamboo mat with plastic wrap. Spread sushi rice on top of the plastic wrap.

4. Place avocado, crab, cucumber lengthwise on the rice.

5. Roll the bamboo mat forward, pressing the ingredients inside the cylinder-shaped sushi. Press firmly the bamboo mat with hands, then remove the rolled sushi.

6. Remove the plastic wrap carefully. Roll and coat the sushi on a place of fish roes.

7. Cut the sushi roll into bite-size pieces and serve with
mayonnaise.
