Langkawi 2010 - Day 1

First trip for 2010, I'm off to Langkawi for a 4D3N getaway! It was my first time traveling via Tiger Airway, setting off from Budget Terminal. I must say it was no frills but everything went on very well with no flight delays. The terminal and fleet was well maintained.

Arriving at Berjaya around 5pm, I tried to arrange island hopping for day 2 and was disappointed by two words, "Fully Booked" *Grrr.....*


I will rank them so-so.... Not the cheapest but ain't that expensive too... At least the staffs were friendly and cleanliness was good. But the room feels that it requires more maintenance. Oh well... We will not be in the room most of the time anyway. Around sgd190 per night.

As we took a fair bit of flyers from Langkawi airport, I rang up another company that offers island hopping. The sales manager came down to our hotel lobby to collect the money and to confirm our trip.

Food was just alright, slightly overpriced and the area is EXTREMELY windy. Food turns cold easily and the blown table cloth might overturn the entire table. PS: Do not wear hats or bring along things that can be easily blown off.

Fully "blown", we proceed back to room for some Malaysian cable tv and turned in early to kick start day 2!
